MacLan does not provide HFS support. If you want to read disks you will need MacXchange. I haven't had any troubles with MacLan on either Win95 or 98. I have had very bad problems with COPStalk which is why I tried MacLan. anyways.... maybe there's something else wrong with your PC?

YES - as it does the reverse of a Macintosh CDEV called PC-Exchange it is called MacXchange. I don't know how reliable it is as I haven't used it, but I know friends of mine who have. Files need convertign from Mac Cd Rom?

I have a catalog of eps and tiff files on a CD Rom They are in Mac HFS format. When I pull the files off of there (using hfsutils in Linux, NT version doesn't do cds yey), the files get a .bin extension and everything seems corrupt. .txt files are fine, but .eps and .tiff files will not load in gimp, ghostview, etc. My guess is I need to do a quick convert on the mac files, like removing the extra <CR> on dos files. -- Zot O'Connor www.ZotConsulting.com www.WhiteKnightHackers.com
