Hello Listers, Does anyone know what the 32 bytes of FinderInfo in the MDB/VolmeHeader of an HFS/HFS+ volume are actually supposed to contain ?
Neither Universal Interfaces or TN 1150 seem to mention the exact format of the data stored in here. Some sample driver code from Apple led me to believe that these 32 bytes are organized as eight 4 byte units of which the fifth long integer holds the CNID of the System Folder of the Volume (if present). What do the other fields stand for... could someone direct me links describing these if any? The weblinks point to Inside Macintosh: Finder but only the finder fields relevant to the catalog files and folders seem to be described here.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Regards, Nandini Hengen
