THIS RELEASE FIXES A SERIOUS FILESYSTEM CORRUPTION BUG PRESENT IN ALL VERSIONS SINCE 0.7. USERS OF PREVIOUS VERSIONS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO UPGRADE IMMEDIATELY.

hfs_fs 0.8.1 is a kernel loadable module implementing the Macintosh HFS filesystem for Linux kernel versions 2.0.1 and newer. Note that it is for local media only; it is not an AppleShare client.

Since the 0.8 release hfs_fs is fully read-write.

For those of you running AppleShare servers on your Linux machine (Netatalk or CAP), this software is a perfect way to mount Macintosh CDROMs on your Linux machine for export to your Macs.
