Sorry if I am asking the obvious.

Is there a way to compile madplay into a shared library?

I am looking for a way to embed madplay in an application and provide new controlls other than tty.

The other option would be to do an exec() and controll it over stdin/stdout but that is not very elegant.

Any suggestions?
