Problems compiling libmad-0.15.1b on ARM CortexA9

HI all, I am trying to compile libmad-0.15.1b on Wandboard with Freescale's i.MX6 Solo processor (ARM Cortex-A9) running Ubuntu Precise LTS. Cross-compiling for armv7

Hello, Has anyone managed to compile libmad for armv7. If so, could you kindly reply with an example ./configure that works. How to "build" libmad-devel

Hi all. I have been wanting to get a audacity build, which could provide "Import Audio" feature, on my armv7l-based Fedora 14 machine. I have already asked the audacity-devel guys; it was concluded that audacity needs to be build with "--with-libmad" option; however, on my armv7l machine, I do not have any "libmad-devel" installed, nor can it be found in the "yum" repositories. So, could anyone please point me to the source-code for "libmad-devel", so that I may compile myself? (I have already found the source for "libmad", but not for "libmad-devel"). Hi, I have added a wav header to the file at beginning, now I am able to play the file but its all noise. Seems like decoder generated some corrupted data. Also I am facing the same error:- decoding error 0x0101 (lost synchronization) at byte offset 0 decoding error 0x0101 (lost synchronization) at byte offset 4342960 Can any one help me in this. Resuming decoding after {STOP || BREAK}

Hi I am trying to use the MAD library to decode mp3 files for a programming I am working on, the problem is the produced outputs are very large. So my aim was to decode X number of frames, the break until there are spaces for my by resuming the decoding. However this isn't working as I hoped. Currently, I am populating the output buffer, in the high level API, and when it is full then I break (and I have tried stop too) however If I want to resume by calling the decode_run (again) then it never get back to resuming the decoding. So I was inquiring as it whether there was a 'best practice' way of doing this with MAD, of course I could always block the decoder thread when the buffer is full. But I am not sure that is the best way. Thank You

madplay or libmad eating out the last part of the audio output

Hello, This mail is related to the following mp3splt bug report: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=2424463&group_id=5… What I was trying to find out is why the audio output length is different using other decoders or different madplay "options" I have made some tests on the attached file; here are the results : ------------------------------------------------------------------- - madplay with alsa output does not outputs the last part of the file (the laughter is missing) - madplay with wave output, then playing the created file with 'aplay' plays it entirely (with the laughter) - madplay on windows (MAD frontend version 1.4.1 - http://members.home.nl/w.speek/mad_frontend.htm) plays the whole - mpg123 also plays it entirely I don't understand why the audio output is different. I first tried to compare the number of frames and the frame sizes of mpg123 and libmad, but they were the same. Do you know how can I debug this further ? Any help is appreciated. madplay play back error on start and end of file

Hi, sorry its my first posting... hoping for some clues.. When I play back i get some noise at the beginning and end of the mp3... Iim using alsa soundcard on arm-linux. but cant compile madplay --with-alsa because libasound is not found, where is that? compiling without that flag all works except the noise at beginning and end of playback, im guessing madplay is outputing a non-raw format to a soundcard thats expecting raw?

Enhancing madplay to speed up audio books and podcasts

I would like to enhance an audio book player called "daisy-player" to allow the user to control the speed. It uses madplay for all of it's sound output. I wrote a simple package called "sonic" that speeds up speech with low distortion. It's in plain ANSI C, and works well on ARM CPUs with no FPU (tested on Android). Since sonic is not yet included in Debian, I recommend just adding two files to the madplay source: sonic.c and sonic.h. I would be happy to make the initial edits to incorporate sonic speed up in the output stream processing of madplay. Would such an enhancement be of interest? Thanks, Bill
