I'm not sure if you guys have been reading the hydrogen audio forums but there's currently a promising player in dev call foobar2000. it's by Peter, of winamp's directsound output fame. Anyway, he just released an SDK http://foobar2000.hydrogenaudio.org/ would it be difficult to port MAD over to it?
