Do not use madplay, it is difficult to port it to the embedded system.So I advice you use madlld. It is easy to port to the embedded system. And also you can make MP3 API from it.

we are trying to port madplay to old digital signal
processor (DSP16000). Since it doesn't support OS,
file stream is not supported. Could any of you can
help us get started with this graduate project?
