I've just coded up some mp3 importing to sweep using libmad, so if you want to throw scrubby at your old mp3 collection, now's your chance.

mad people: sweep is a Linux/BSD sound editor with vinyly scrubbing, and its fun to dj with; more info at http://sweep.sourceforge.net/

this is a prerelese for all ye elite hackers, this probably needs to be tweaked a little before its unleashed (later this week ?!)

so, please test it till your speakers explode and if it breaks please help fix it (eg. show how to reproduce it, supply the file, or even fix the code):

non-mad ppl: you need libmad libs and headers (libmad-devel) installed, otherwise the configure script will simply not include mp3 support ... if libmad isn't in your distro it's at:
