When playing Mp3's in 24bit mode, Winamp will just stop playin and just the progress bar in winamp will just sit there, if I drag it forward to continue a just head a bunch a digital type sounds, kinda like a buzzing or constant glitch sound. This will happen just from Surfing the Web. how can I stop this from happening, I have to restart about half the songs from the beggining cause of this. Maybe a setting in the Wave ouput plugin. Thanks Jeff ICQ 32714714
I have found the mad plugin does not work with the audiophile 2496 in windows2000. It worked if I used the NT drivers, but it doesn't seem to work with the w2k WDM drivers. winamp complains that the output format cannot be translated.

I also had the same problem with the dio 2448 card. I wonder if this a problem of M-Audio's or if it's a problem with WDM drivers in general in w2k..

I believe I have found the reason for all this on M-Audio's new drivers page: http://www.midiman.com/m-audio/drivers2.htm
Listed under Windows 2000 Notes is: "Limited to 16 bit stereo input and output on non-ASIO based apps". So it appears Winamp is a non-ASIO based app, hopefully M-Audio will get this input problem fixed in one of the future builds.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. The NT drivers work, although they are extremely fussy about IRQ's, and such unlike the WDM drivers will totally lock your system in win2k unless they are set just right.
