Now that CoolPlayer is Open Source, how about making it a showcase for MAD?

The author of CoolPlayer has now made it Open Source. Would Rob or some other worthy consider removing the XAudio decoding engine from it and making it the showcase for MAD? Roj ICQ: 12258585 "Faith manages." jms

M-Audio Audiophile 24/96

I am new to the list so please excuse me if this topic has already been discussed. I have searched the internet trying to find out why my M-Audio Audiophile 24/96 will not play back in 24bit mode. I am running Windows XP RC1 Beta and I am using M-Audio's latest Windows 2000 WDM drivers. I have verified with M-Audio that this driver version does support 24bit output. They told me: "The latest drivers are 4.12.1.20 are 24 bit but limited to your application rather then the drivers". When I try to play an mp3 file via winamp with the MAD plugin enabled with 24bit selected, I get an error that the format is not supported. I currently have this installed in my old Intel BX chipset based motherboard with a Intel Celeron 400mhz processor with 384 megs of PC100 SDRAM.
