Hi,
I've just coded up some mp3 importing to sweep using libmad, so if you
want to throw scrubby at your old mp3 collection, now's your chance.
mad people: sweep is a Linux/BSD sound editor with vinyly scrubbing, and
its fun to dj with; more info at http://sweep.sourceforge.net/
this is a prerelese for all ye elite hackers, this probably needs to be
tweaked a little before its unleashed (later this week ?!)
so, please test it till your speakers explode and if it breaks please
help fix it (eg. show how to reproduce it, supply the file, or even fix
the code):
http://www.metadecks.org/software/sweep/download/sweep-0.5.7-mad1.tar.gz
otherwise, just go crazy with it. Seems to be working ok here so please
give it a whirl.
non-mad ppl: you need libmad libs and headers (libmad-devel) installed,
otherwise the configure script will simply not include mp3 support ...
if libmad isn't in your distro it's at:
http://www.mars.org/home/rob/proj/mpeg/
enjoy :)
Conrad.
Also, I was wondering if there was such a output plugin that supports
96khz output. I found one, but then again, I want to know if there are
more out there.

Hello,
I'm getting a run time error from layer3.c line 2461: "'ptr' used
without being defined.' I'm using win32 and the libmad project to link
to. Any ideas what could be causing this?
thanks for any ideas and the cool lib,
jesse
